Galway
City & County offer several top class golfing facilities,
ranging from inland parkland courses to the traditional links
courses. Just two minutes away is the Galway City Golf club,
whereas a five minute drive takes you to Bearna and Gleno Abbey
courses. A twenty minute drive takes in Galway Bay and Athenry
courses. |

Fishing
The Galway area is a fishing paradise, with lake, sea and
river fishing opportunities. The choice includes lake fishing on
Lough Corrib, sea fishing in Galway Bay, salmon fishing at the
weir on the River Corrib and fresh water fishing in the many
rivers and streams of Connemara. |

Tennis
The Galway Lawn Tennis club is just a short walk away.
The facility includes
six squash courts, a coffee shop and an extensive range of
modern sports facilities including a gym, tennis and badminton

Hill Walking
The Connemara area offers several locations for the hill
walking enthusiast to explore the countryside. There are also a
number of organised walks operated and run by professional tour
guides. They range from short easy climbs to the longer walk for
the keen hill walker. Organised walking tours are also available
to the Burren area of County Clare. |

Sailing
The Galway sailing
club is located in Oranmore, just a 15 minutes drive away, on
the shores of the beautiful and scenic Galway Bay.
The club
also runs an introduction to sailing course for prospective
members who would like to find out more about the club and
sailing in general.
